Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is needed to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Lake Placid, FL. This contract position covers the current school year (CSY) and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students speech and language development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided and progress reports.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal-setting and decision-making.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working in school settings with K-12 populations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of best practices and current speech-language pathology assessment and intervention techniques.
